The NSPCC’s 'I Stand for Children' campaign called for protecting children to be at the top of the political agenda.

In the run up to the election, over 14,300 people in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales asked their parliamentary candidates to pledge “I Stand for Children” and make protecting children their priority.

As a result, over 900 election candidates committed to important child protection measures, such as securing essential funding for services for children. Representatives of all the main political parties promised to champion our issues in Parliament.

Without your support this significant number of candidates would not have made this commitment to keep children safe from harm.

Thank you to everyone who took part in the campaign!

This is a critical time to continue campaigning for children. We will continue our influencing work with newly elected MPs, and hope you will support us by taking part in future NSPCC campaigns. If you’re not already a campaign supporter, please email us at campaigns@nspcc.org.uk to get involved.

If you have children who would like to get involved in making sure politicians hear their voice please ask them to visit www.childline.org.uk/wewillbecounted.
